About the event

CHAT'S CHOICE is a show of intimate and lyrical musical dialogue which is all a tribute to the legendary trumpeter Chet Baker. The trumpet and flugelhorn player Yacov Amer will play the songs and tunes that Chet chose to play as part of his performances throughout Europe in the seventies and eighties and which became the permanent repertoire most identified with Chet. During these years he played with Nils Hennig Pederson, Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Ricardo Del Fra  , Charlie Hayden, Kenny Baron, Michel Graillier, Phil Markovich, Doug Rennie, Phillip Catherine, Nicolas Stilo, Wolfgang Lackerschmidt and more.

"I feel a real need to express my love for Chet's music while emphasizing the warm sound and lyricism that characterized his playing and thus exposing the audience to his sincere and unique contribution he left behind!"

- Yacov Amar

"If it doesn't have some lyrical meaning to it, then I'm not interested in it!"

- Chet Baker
